President of ACAT Canada since 2021, she began her involvement with ACAT in 2016 as an intern. For nearly 10 years, she has been committed to defending human rights, advocating for immigrants, combating violence against women, promoting linguistic rights, and ensuring health equity.
Originally from France, Laïla now lives in Canada, in the greater Northwestern Ontario region, where she works at a medical university. Following the June 2024 elections, Laïla joined the international board of FIACAT.
