For the past 30 years Claire Doran has been involved in Human Rights work, international solidarity education and social justice. She was Director of Public Engagement for the Canadian Catholic Organisation for Development and Peace, and responsible for justice portfolios with the Canadian Religious Conference, the United Church of Canada and many ecumenical coalitions. She is a member of ACAT -Canada and Amnesty International.

Rooted in Jesus’ spirit of fraternal love, our international network should contribute effectively to stop the normalization of torture, even in so -called democratic countries, and the erosion of Human Rights which characterize our present context.

In June 2020, Claire Doran was elected a member of the FIACAT International Bureau for a second four-year term.
