Xavière Prugnard is involved in the fight for human rights since 2014. She graduated in international law at the University Jean Moulin Lyon III, and specialized in international human rights law during her years of study at the Freie Universität in Berlin and the Univeristé d'Evry. At the end of her experiences at the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) and the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights of France (CNCDH), Xavière joined the National Council for Human Rights of Morocco in the field of cooperation with the United Nations and the Francophonie.

Xavière joins the FIACAT in the spring of 2018, first as Administrative and Financial Officer, then as Representative to the African Union. In addition to her advocacy work with African human rights bodies, Xavière is responsible for the programme on the abolition of the death penalty.
