Ahead of the 46th session of the Human Rights Council and the Biennal High Level Panel on the death penalty, the Advocates for Human Rights, the FIACAT, the World Coalition Against the Death Penatly and other member organisations of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty have submitteed a joint written statement arguing that research have discredited the claims that the death penalty deters crime.
