Contribution of FIACAT and ACAT Switzerland to the Third Universal Periodic Review of Switzerland.
The aim of the alternative report drawn up by FIACAT and ACAT Switzerland is to evaluate the implementation of the recommendations and commitments made by Switzerland concerning the improvement of the human rights situation since the second Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of this country.
FIACAT and ACAT Switzerland wish to draw attention to a number of concerns. These concerns relate mainly to the institutional and legislative framework, asylum and migration, torture and ill-treatment, conditions of detention and the absence of a national human rights institution.
