Contribution of FIACAT and ACAT Chad to the Third Universal Periodic Review of Chad
The aim of the alternative report drawn up by FIACAT and ACAT Chad is to assess the implementation of the recommendations and commitments made by Chad concerning the improvement of the human rights situation since the country's second Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
FIACAT and ACAT Chad wish to draw attention to a number of concerns. These concerns relate mainly to the abolition of the death penalty, enforced disappearances, torture, the right to liberty and security of person, the administration of justice, the national human rights institution and the protection of human rights defenders and journalists.
